Cycle Tour I Circumnavigation the Iberian Peninsula I Spain and Portugal

This penultimate route stage will take me after crossing the border at La Jonquera, Spain and entering France in the first commune of Le Perthus located on the Spanish border in the Pyrénées-Orientales department in southern France.
After that I cycled through the slightly more distant from the sea communes of Perpignan, Pia, Claira, then passing through the coastal communes of Saint-Laurent-de-la-Salanque, Le Barcares, Dosse Petit, Pointe du Courage, the village of Peyriac-de-Mer located on the banks of a string of lagoons and the Mediterranean Sea.
Then, after reaching the Ibis Budget Hotel Narbonne Sud which is about 3 kilometers from Narbonne's city center. and I lodged there for one night
The following day after leaving the Ibis Budget Hotel Narbonne Sud I continued cycling through the nestled inland commune was Narbonne in southern France on the Canal de la Robine.
Then I followed quiet country roads very windy passing through the communes of Salles-d'Aude, Fleury, Sérignan, Portiragnes, , with its location on the edge of the Canal du Midi and its proximity to the Mediterranean Sea and a nature reserve.
Form this point run a variety of cycle paths, which are part of the EuroVelo 8 that follows a section of the popular Canal du Midi route connecting towns Vias, Agde, and Marseille Plage and the town of Sète, on the Étang de Thau lagoon.
The next day after leaving ibis budget Sète Centre I continued cycling past the coastal towns of Frontignan, Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone, Palavas-les-Flots, Mauguio, La Grande-Motte, Aigues-Mortes Mòrtas, Le cailar, Port de plaisance en France, Beauvoisin, and coastal city of Arles well known for inspiring many of Van Gogh's paintings and is home to well-preserved Roman ruins, including the Arles Amphitheatre. It is located in the Rhône River in the Provence region of southern France.
The next day after leaving the spectacular city of Arles I continued on a scenic route with little traffic full of beautiful green landscapes and vineyards passing through the municipalities of Saint-Martin-De-Crau, Lançon-Provence, Aix-en-Provence. From this point the route was surrounded by panoramic views of the mountain and the surrounding countryside passing through the municipalities of Fuveau, Pourrière and the town of Brignoles is located in the heart of the "green Provence" is located between Marseille and Sainte Maxime in the Territoire Provence Verte en région Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.

This is the final part of the wonderful journey that after leaving the Kyriad Direct Hotel cycling always in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France on a road with little traffic passing through the municipalities of Brignolese, the old village of Cabasse nestled and green forested hills of the Issole valley and Issole river. It was scenic to cycle through a picturesque ancient stone buildings and little street.
Then still inland the municipalities of Roquebrune-sur-Agens, nestled between the Massif des Maures and the Massif de l'Estérel and has a short distance on pleasant cycle path through the spectacular landscapes on the outskirts of Fréjus, you pass in front of an unusual and unique monument of the The remains of the Missiri Mosque is a former French Muslim religious building, built in 1930, the Aqueduc Romain Arches Antique and on the sides of some street plantations of evergreen oak trees probably used as a corks for wine bottles.
Then I continued up a steep but shady climb still in the Freijus area and the very panoramic road until I reached the The Col du Testanier is located on the northern edge of the Massif de l'Estérel offering views and the border mountains and of the Mediterranean.
This climb is about 7 kilometers long, with an elevation gain of 311 meters which connects the coastal towns of Fréjus, Mandelieu-La-Napoule and then reaching the north west of resort town of Cannes, famous throughout the world for its prestigious Film Festival, the seafront of the Boulevard de la Croisette and its golden beaches, high-fashion shopping and luxury hotels such as Carlton Cannes, a Regent Hotel.
Then I continued on the cycle path along its seafront to then arrive in Villeneuve Loubet. After settling into the Hotel F1 | Villeneuve-Loubet I had I strolled along the promenade and the Marina of the Baie des Anges where it is dominated by a set of four high pyramid buildings, little be different and perhaps a little too big in that beautiful corner of the coast where there are restaurants and bars.

The next day, which was the last day of my incredible cycling trip, I started from the Hotel F1 | Villeneuve-Loubet, located between Nice and Antibes and after passing the marina of Villeneuve-Loubet, I cycled through the cycle paths that line the French Riviera, admiring the breathtaking views of the Mediterranean, passing through Cagnes-sur-Mer, in the Var, and finally I cycled along the Promenade des Anglais in the famous city of Nice. This route offers easy access to the beautiful beaches with panoramic views of the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
From the old town of Nice I left the coast behind and followed an inland road that climbs into the Alpes-Maritimes region, of medium difficulty and with some elevation gain, passing through the town of La Trinité and then following the Route de Laghet, I reached the village of La Turbie, located at 482 meters above sea level and the highest point of the Grande Corniche. From this location there is a small detour that leads to a panoramic point: from here you can see the port of Monaco.
After that from the town of La Turbie there are some forks all downhill to choose from I had followed the panoramic road D 53 in the high area of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin where a long descent with spectacular panoramic views of the coast and the sea took me to the beautiful coastal cycle path of the town of Menton, and it is the last coastal stretch of the French Riviera.
And finally the Italian border located on the Italian Riviera continuing then on the state road 1 "Via Aurelia" to the tourist resort of Ventimiglia. The journey ends at the train station of Ventimiglia in the province of Imperia, in Liguria, which was the beginning of my journey and today the end, where the train took me to Milan in Northern Italy
